Kristin Ayles is the second Campus Activities® Magazine Student Ambassador to be featured in this section. As an kristen1.jpgadvertising co-chair for CEN she helps to ensure as many students know about their programs as possible.

Kristen is an ambitious and industrious young woman, and is perfect or the role of Student Ambassador. She stays active and involved in many aspects of campus life, in fact, it was one of the very first things she did. “My freshman year the very first thing I did was run for vice president of my class. I quickly learned that on this particular campus, once you get involved in one group of organization, it is really easy to get sucked into others (laughs).”

Kristen went from there into the Inter-Class Council (RWU’s version of student government), where she became the liaison sitting in on CEN board meetings. “I started as a representative for a year, then this year I ran for the advertising co-chair position I occupy now.”

Kristen hails from Norwell, which is just south of Boston, on the shore. She initially attended RWU as an architecture major because of the strength of that program, but through her involvement with the various student organizations she had a change of heart. “I figured out that architecture just wasn’t for me, so I dropped that major and took up public relations and marketing, so that I can eventually be involved more in the line of work I currently perform. I would like to either be a publicist or work in higher ed. I’m really not sure yet.”

Campus Activities Magazine wishes the best of luck to Kristen in her entertainment industry endeavors and as a Student Ambassador, we look forward to involving her in tasks with the magazine that will only help her along the way.
