Campus Activities® Magazine’s Rock ‘n Road Show is the opportunity for any campus in America to win a free weekend of entertainment. To be considered for the event, all the campuses are required to do is submit artist report cards on events regularly scheduled at their campus. The entry dates begin with report cards submitted for the August issue of Campus Activities® Magazine each year and end on May 31. The top twenty most active campuses then go into a drawing and the winner is announced.

The winning campus and the agency (or agencies) involved in the show then negotiate a date for the performance within the next year. Campus Activities® Magazine covers the event LIVE doing a complete story on the acts who participate and the winning campus including interviews with the artists and the activities board. Not only does the campus get a great entertainment experience but excellent publicity for their campus program.

Here are some simple partcipation requirements:

WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?: The contest is open to any school which is a subscriber to Campus Activities Magazine in the United States and Canada actively involved in programming entertainment.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Simply submit online or by mail or fax, Artist Report Cards on every event, show or performance on your campus between AUGUST 1 and MAY 31. Each submission counts as one point.

HOW DO WE WIN?: The top twenty schools submitting the most report cards will be given the chance to participate in a random drawing to determine the winner. By selecting from a collection of the twenty schools accumulating the most points, campuses of all sizes have a better chance at winning the concert. Frequently smaller to medium size schools actually do more programming than larger campuses who specialize in major talent.

IS ANY CAMPUS PROHIBITED FROM WINNING?: Campuses who have won a previous concert are excluded from winning for two years. Other than that, the contest is open to anyone.

WHAT DO WE WIN?: The winner receives a complete show. Campus Activities Magazine will cover the show live with a feature on the performances and an interview with the school's activity board. Look for our announcement of participating acts and sponsors on campusactivitiesmagazine.com September edition.

WHAT WILL THE EVENT COST US?: The shows are free and Campus Activities Magazine will provide posters for you to promote the event. The winner's responsibility is nominal travel and reasonable lodging for the acts, and providing the venue (with sound and lights).

IF WE WIN, HOW WILL WE SCHEDULE THE EVENT?: You have up to one year to plan and schedule the event from the date the contest closes. We will put you in touch with the agencies involved to schedule a date that is agreeable with all parties. The agencies will try to get you the best routed date to reduce the cost of travel. Campus Activities Magazine's staff will assist you in working out the details as well as plan the promo for the event.

WHAT IF WE HAVE QUESTIONS?: Call us toll free at (800) 728-2950 or (803) 712-1429. You can also email us at cameopublishing@earthlink.net. Office hours are 10AM to 6PM Monday through Friday. After hours calls will be returned the next day.
