William F. Gibbs

“I want to write the songs that I want to write, and then I want to do whatever is best for that particular song or idea. WFGI don’t want to worry myself too much with people’s expectations or perceptions of what I do or have done.”

Born in Troy, AL, and raised throughout the Southeast (GA, FL, SC, NC) William F. Gibbs comes into his own by bringing forth his original, genuine, and honest songs which draw from a musical landscape as sprawling, scattered, and diverse as the Southern territories that have made his “home”. William’s first musical awakening came one fateful day while riding shotgun in a blue Cadillac with white leather interior. The Caddie belonged to Willis “Red” Gibbs; the voice on the radio to Percy Sledge…”Take Time to Know Her”.

William’s adolescence is a blur of musical cultivation, memory gaps, and good times. Using both the past and the present, William has crafted a style of musical composition and songwriting that has traces of the greats, yet is uniquely his own.

Today, William resides in Greenville, SC where he has developed a strong local fan base. It is often questioned where William finds his inspiration. William’s response, “The world at large has provided more than enough creative stimuli for any artist and I am no exception.” Seeing the world as both tragically beautiful and awesomely ugly lies at the core of William’s haunting lyrics. Coupled with his mind-boggling guitar licks and melodies, William is one to watch as he quickly becomes a force in the indie scene.

Seminole County

Seminole County is without any doubt a promising Duo combining rapping and singing from the figurehead women Jj combined with the unique voice of her colleague seminoleByron J. The Mixture of rap and singing with catchy guitar hooks shows the variety of styles that comes along with this talented band.

Jj’s background was not originally in entertainment, as a highly skilled athlete, was a top performer (and the only female) on the Noles High School football team. It was actually the support of her fellow football players that led her to begin her music career, initially performing at local events just for the fun of it. It was that strength and self-confidence that made Jj stand out at a local event where Producer Byron J saw her perform. That was the beginning of the musical collaboration that became the group Seminole County.

They called the attention of the management from Backstreet Boys and they got invited to support the Backstreet Boys on their forthcoming tour. This tour spread their reputation nationwide like a wildfire and lead to top events such as opening gigs at the Orange Bowl in Miami’s 2005 BCS Championship Game, playing for the returning troops together with John Legend and the closing night at the world famous Rock club, the CBGB in New York. Just a few days after returning from their tour through Europe they were invited to perform at the Florida Chapter of the 2006 GRAMMY Showcase. The technical perfectionism on their album doesn’t rank behind their stage appearance and performance and there is no doubt that we will hear much more from them in the future.

Matt Larson

Matt Larson is determined to avoid the cliché of the sullen, self-involved singer songwriter, both in his music and in his on-stage demeanor. He is thought provoking yet fun, intelligent yet unpretentious. The optimistic, affable tone that typifies his music is balanced and enriched by an underlying complexity and subtlety that make his songs more than a fleeting, superficial pleasure. In concert, he uses his humor, gregarious nature and thoroughly eclectic repertoire of cover tunes to awake and engage everyone within earshot, going so far as to make members of the audience the focus of the show.

Matt has been known to accompany his vocals with acoustic guitar, piano, loops, programming, banjo and mandolin. But whatever instrument he chooses, it is the warmth and wit expressed through his voice that reaches out and draws his audience in.
