Paul Avion & Par Avion Band, “Pop Music United Rock”.
Par Avion Band fuses elements of dance electro-rock, moog synth, space-age bossa nova and even psychedelica and Brit pop to create a fun smorgasbord of styles, playfully called 
“Pop of the Future”.
Their CD, Pop Music United, fancifully set in the year 2685, features vocals and cello by Tanya Haden (Silversun Pickups’ Pikul) and the work of Paul Avion, Zachary Ginder, Andrew Rivera and Zandro Urbiztondo.
Par Avion Band’s music has been likened to “Hello goodbye meets Weezer” and influences cited include David Bowie, The Postal Service, Franz Ferdinand, Joni Mitchell, Elliott Smith, Serge Gainsbourg and the Beatles.
Hot off their Los Angeles debut, Par Avion Band is coming to Sacramento State’s Redwood Room on March 19, 2008.
